Up for auction is my TAKAMINE F385 12-string. This is one of the famous "lawsuit" guitars brought on by C.F. Martin. Back in the 1970's, the Japanese had a thing about copying famous guitars. I am the second owner, buying it from a friend of mine in 1982. That being said, it is NOT in factory new condition either. For a 33 year old guitar, it is in very good condition. No belt buckle rash on the back. No cracks in either the wood or clear finish. Only hairline scuffs, pick marks from strumming and some really teenie-tiny marks. I tried to photograph what I could, but anything worth showing did not come out in the pictures. The neck is straight and it has never had a fret-job, so the fingerboard sides are not torn up. Frets are worn in the 1st position, but still playable (even without a capo). It comes with a really good hard shell case (HSC). I have not played this guitar in almost 10 years. It's been "sleeping" in its case in the closet. Hence the sale... Its just sitting there collecting dust, and I'll never be the next Gordon Lightfoot anyway. I removed the strings, because they were so rusty. I'm sure that you'd want to put new ones on anyway (which I will include a set). SHIPPING... Look, this ain't gonna be cheap. The case and guitar weight 13 pounds alone. Wrapping it up in sort of packaging will only add to the weight. I've ESTIMATED the cost using the eBay calculator (which ain't always correct). So I set the shipping at $35.
