Wow! Up for auction is a very nice "First Year Issue" 1935 (?) Gibson L-30 guitar in "Original Black Finish" These guitars were made in the "Black Finish" for only 2 years, and then Gibson went to the standard Brown Sunburst. There is identification stamped inside the body (visible through the lower "F" holes: it is hard to read, and appears to be "SKOR-7". The "-7" part is hand written in red pencil. The letter "R' may be a "B"; as stated, it's difficult to read. The guitar is in good condition for it’s age, with some cracks - nothing structural to be concerned about, and to be expected on a 75 year old instrument. Some cracks had a small amount of titebond glue put into them to prevent further cracking, but this work was done well. Other than a small metal nut on the pickguard bracket, it is all original! Very cool hard "V" neck profile, nice action, straight neck, GREAT tone and playability. The frets have wear (mostly at the first five frets), but it still plays great. The workmanship in these old guitars is really nice - down to the polished ebony bridge, and the fretwork. The original tuners still work well, and the buttons are in amazingly good shape. The body and backside on the neck show signs of honest playing wear – see pics, please. Arched top with flat back, silk screened Gibson logo. Comes with non-original soft shell case. This is a somewhat used Washburn EA9F Acoustic-Electric Guitar. It is in great condition with no scratches/bruises. It still sounds excellent and has lost little value if any at all. The only reason for me selling it is because I recently upgraded to a Martin DM, which is an upgrade from any type of guitar in my eyes, and I wanted some one else to have the privilege to play this fine instrument. P.S. A very nice hard-shell case is also included. I recently got the case with another guitar and am adding it in with the Washburn! P.P.S.
