Guild's orchestra-body F30 Aragon Acoustic-Electric with D-TAR Pickup System is based on the 1956 F-30 Aragon guitar, with all solid woods, a red spruce top and bracing, mahogany back and sides, Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, bone bridge pins, tortoise binding, 1-11/16" nut and lacquer finish. The D-TAR Wave-Length Pickup and Preamp System combines a thin, piezo under-saddle transducer with an 18v, low-noise, high input impedance preamp, to create a system with twice the dynamic range of typical 9v systems. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Here is a Rare Westerly made Guild acoustic guitar for auction. Apparently Guild Westerly R.I. guitars closed its doors on 8.21.2001. The exact year is not known on this guitar, but would anticipate this being either 2000 or 2001 model year just before the Westerly closing. Picture includes the numbers and perhaps all the details can be found from that. The original purchase receipt date shows it was 7.12.01. There are 3 locations where the binding glue is loose. The locations are pointed out in the pictures by the red arrow. Although minor, but want to be up front with no surprises. I'd imagine a Luther could get it back to spec easily. However, it has been this way for at least 5 years so it has no effect on the playing ability .... just preferred it kept original. Even though this guitar is not a perfect "10" and besides the binding glue in a few places, it really is a very nice Guild guitar. Didn't really notice any fret wear. The string height at the 12th fret is .125" (1/8") as shown in the picture. This guitar plays great and sound tone is pretty nice too. In fact, I'll try to post a quick video to show the tone, a few random chords, and hit each note just to see there is no fret out on this guitar. It's clear to see this guitar does not have a lot of time on it for its age. Good chance to get a nice deal on a rare USA made Westerly Guild usually sought after. It has the Fishman Prefix onboard Blender, the original manuals, and Guild hard case. Please send PayPal payment only within 48 hours after auction or item will be relisted.
