Fender Acoustic Guitars
There is no denying, the Fender acoustic guitars were among the best guitars of its time. In fact, they were being used to measure the quality of the other guitar manufacturers. Over the 50 years in production, the design of the Fender acoustic guitars remains unchanged and classical. Perhaps, it is best to take a look at the history of this brand. In 1951, Leo Fender invented a solid body guitar which was known as the Broadcaster. In later years, the name of the first guitar was changed to the Tele or Telecaster. It was the first solid body electric Spanish style guitar to undergo mass production.
Aside from the Tele, Fender was also responsible for introducing the Precision Bass. At the time, the usual Double Basses were difficult to transport and were often tough to hear over the other instruments. Because of this, Fender developed a portable type which can be played like a guitar and capable of amplifying.
Throughout the years, the company evolved and turned into what is now the leading guitar manufacturer in the world, the FMIC or Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. When someone mentions the name of the brand, it is almost instantly synonymous with the things related to rock and roll.
Under the FMIC, other brands include the Squier, Fender, Guild, Jackson, EVH, Gretsch, Charvel, Groove Tubes, SWR and a lot more. Aside from the Fender acoustic guitars, the company now also caters to all the musical instruments, equipments, and accessories which you can ever think of.
