Dean Acoustic Guitars

The production of Dean Acoustic Guitars can be dated back to 1976, when Dean Zelinsky founded the company known as Dean Guitars. However, after about 10 years in production, Zelinsky decided he no longer wanted to keep manufacturing guitars. This is why he sold the company. Until the middle of the 1990s, Oscar Medeiros had full ownership of the trademark and the brand name, which explains why the company also has guitars under the name Medeiros. After that time, Medeiros also put a stop to the manufacturing of Dean Guitars and the company was bought by Armadillo Enterprises, which is now owned by the original founder Dean Zelinsky. For 2011, Dean Acoustic Guitars included the designs EQA Satin, Exotica FM, EQA Trans Black, Exotica Paduk, Exotica Zebra, Exotica Spalt, Exotica CSW, EQA 12-String, EQA Trans, and the EQA Lefty. Aside from acoustic guitars, the company also sells electrics, bass, and lefty guitars.
