Alvarez Guitars replaced the company known as Westone in 1991. Nowadays, the Alvarez brand is owned by LOUD Technologies, who also owns Ampeg, Mackie, Crate and the other brands which have a relation to music. The Alvarez Acoustic Guitars have been inspired by the Yairi guitars’ design philosophies and handcrafted tradition. Even if a lot of the models have been made in China, the high end level instruments have been produced in Gifu-Japan’s Yairi factory
