For sale: One Alvarez Yairi DY84 acoustic guitar. This guitar is in very good shape. I looked over it very carefully, and I cannot find a ding or scratch. Even the cool clear pickguard looks good. The only evidence of this guitar being played is a very small amount of fret wear in a couple spots around the "open chord" area. I don't think this guitar has many hours on it. This guitar really looks beautiful. The action is great, I really like the way this guitar plays. I wish I didn't have to sell it. In my opinion, the sound quality is also superb. The guitar has an ebony fretboard, spruce top and rosewood back and sides. Here is the bad news, the case is in very bad shape. The case is much older and more abused than the guitar. The hinges and clasps are not working well, the case really needs to be replaced (or possibly repaired if you are skilled), but it will protect the guitar on it's way to you! This guitar has a solid Engleman Spruce top and gorgeous Solid Indian Rosewood side and back. It is a very dark rosewood with beautiful grain. Maple binding, mahogany neck, with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Great neck with a wonderful feel; slightly larger than the Martin low profile. The nut is 1 11/16". The cutaway offers wonderful access above the 14th fret and the frets are in excellent condition. The soundhole rosette and the headstock insignia is abalone. A great addition to this guitar is the System 600T MKII acoustic preamp and EQ. This system is designed to offer the finest acoustic guitar tone reproduction available. It provides a broad range of mixing capability for different combinations of piezo/magnetic/microphone transducers, and includes a digital chromatic tuner. The guitar is equipped with the piezo pickup mounted under the bridge saddle. The system is also capable of mixing an additional condenser mic or soundhole pickup directly into the aux input. The tuner shuts off after three minutes so there is no battery drain. This is a very handsome guitar, while it is not new, it is in very good condition. There are no cracks, no large scratches, no buckle rash, and no major issues, just a few normal nicks and dents which come from being played.
